Public Information Meeting
N Dousman Road Multi-Use Trail
Genesee Lake Road and Genesee Lake Road Park
March 18, 2025
Dear Property Owner or Current Resident:
You are invited to a public informational meeting to learn more about an upcoming project in your neighborhood.
The Village of Summit, with oversight from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), will be constructing an asphalt multi-use path alongside Genesee Lake Road and N Dousman Road. The path will begin at Genesee Lake Road Park and end at the existing shared-use path located approximately 1,800 feet south of Delafield Road. The purpose of the project is to provide non-motorized connectivity to existing trails and parks in the area. Work will include grading, base placement, asphalt paving, signing and pavement marking, and minor storm sewer work. Some temporary easements are anticipated for the construction work.
This project is in the preliminary design phase, and the Village of Summit would like to hear your comments or concerns and answer any questions you have. The meeting will be an open-house format. Staff from the Village, Strand Associates (the Village’s design consultant), and WisDOT will be on hand to discuss the project in-person. Currently, a 2026 construction schedule is anticipated. Details for the meeting are as follows:
Wednesday, April 2, 2025
